Meet Your Nature Photographer

I am a passionate and versatile individual, often described as a “Jack of All Trades,” though I’ve worked hard to master a few. My father, a Game Warden and professional nature photographer in Washington State, instilled in me a love for the outdoors at an early age. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in an old Ford pickup at the base of Mt. St. Helens, watching him capture the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. It was there that my own journey with photography began, around the age of eight, and it quickly grew into a lifelong pursuit of freezing moments in time with the click of a shutter.

After serving 21 years in the U.S. Navy, where I was often asked to photograph ceremonies and changes of command, I discovered that my camera was never far from my side. Over the years, my approach to photography has become defined by attention to detail, respect for my subject, and a deep connection to my surroundings.

I strive to capture more than just images—I aim to convey the raw beauty and intricate details of the natural world. Whether it’s a mountain glowing in golden light or a bird mid-flight, my goal is to present perspectives and compositions that inspire viewers to see familiar scenes in new and compelling ways.

I believe that powerful imagery can inspire both conservation and gratitude for the Creator who designed the wild places around us. My work is not only intended to stand out in a gallery or portfolio but also to tell meaningful stories and evoke a sense of wonder in those who encounter it.
